Our Client Partnerships team build, manage and grow client relationships and uncover new business opportunities, taking a consultative business development approach to the client lifecycle. They’re responsible for managing upsell and renewal targets, in addition to broadening and closing new business with existing client relationships.
As a Director in our Client Partnerships team, you will be a Wunderkind product expert, customer success pro, and business development consultant all in one. You’ll build trust, negotiate terms, adapt to change, and promote new opportunities for our clients to increase their revenue whilst partnering with Wunderkind’s best in class Customer Success team to deliver key objectives and proactively accelerate business opportunities.
We’re looking for a seasoned Client Partnerships Director or Senior Account Executive who has solid experience working in a quota-carrying, client facing role, preferably at an enterprise SaaS or marketing technology company. You’ll be driven by directly impacting the digital marketing strategy of some of the top brands in the world, and having a lot of fun whilst doing so! If you love the fast-paced environment of a startup, digital marketing, and working closely with clients, then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Client Partnerships team in London.
This role is based in our London Office, 3 days per week, and will involve business travel as necessary to engage and delight our clients at key milestones.
As a Client Partnerships Director at Wunderkind you will:
- Drive Results: Take a proactive approach to renewal conversations, engaging clients 5+ months in advance to ensure timely and successful outcomes. Consistently meet and exceed quarterly targets, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Own the Process: Identify potential retention issues early, taking ownership of the situation and working swiftly to resolve problems. Collaborate with the right internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Consult with C-Suite Contacts: Build strong relationships with C-suite executives across your client base to deeply understand their business objectives. Partner with our Customer Success team to translate these goals into actionable digital strategies that drive meaningful results.
- Communicate & Collaborate: Be a key communicator between internal teams and clients, aligning everyone towards shared goals. Maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by setting clear expectations and keeping clients informed at every step.
- Drive Client Growth: Regularly engage decision-makers to present our full range of products, leveraging your expertise to drive renewals, upsells, and expansion. Use strong discovery and presentation skills to communicate how our platform addresses conversion challenges and delivers real value—making the case for why we’re the best in class.
- Represent Us in High-Level Negotiations: Take charge of high-stakes negotiations with key decision-makers in high-revenue businesses, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes that drive client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Foster Growth: Continuously develop your skills and knowledge by staying informed on industry trends and best practices. Embrace feedback, stay coachable, and adopt a growth mindset to enhance both personal and professional development.
- Drive Revenue Through Strategic Partnerships: Own the business relationship with your clients, working closely with the Customer Success team to deliver performance, exceed expectations, and identify opportunities to drive revenue growth through renewals, upsells, and strategic account expansion.
So what experience can you bring to the Wunderkind Client Partnerships team?
- At least 6 years of experience in business development or customer success (account management with an upsell quota) within a SaaS organisation.
- Expertise in consultative selling & identifying strategies to grow existing clients’ accounts with us.
- Track record of successfully impacting and progressing business growth.
- Comfortable strategizing and consulting with C-Level execs at Fortune 2000 companies.
- Empathetic and persuasive; a strong mix of emotional intelligence and business savvy.
- Ability to tackle projects with little direct input or oversight; work with uncertainty and manage through many priorities and opportunities at once.
- Experience of providing commercial insight to junior colleagues within Client Partnerships, as well as senior leaders across Customer Success.
