Overview
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00/hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the doctor in orthodontic and general dental procedures, including bracket placement assistance and wire change support
- Operates x-ray equipment and takes digital x-rays (intraoral/IO)
- Performs coronal polish (prophy) on pediatric patients
- Instructs patients and caregivers on oral hygiene best practices
- Charts and develops treatment plans in Dentrix alongside the doctor
- Sterilizes and maintains instruments per infection control protocols
- Sets up and prepares operatories for hygiene and treatment appointments
- Applies sealants as certified and applicable
- Manages clinical and administrative charting to support smooth patient flow
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

X-Ray Certification
-
Coronal Polish Certification required
-
Current BLS certification
-
Sealant Certification, preferred

Proficiency in Dentrix preferred
