Summary: The Pediatric Dental Assistant supports high-quality dental care delivery for children by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in full compliance with Colorado dental standards.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Assists the doctor in pediatric dental procedures, including child behavior management techniques to ensure a positive patient experience
- Takes x-rays
- Takes IO's
- Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
- Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
Required Certificates or Licenses:
- Colorado X-Ray certification
- Current BLS certification
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $18 - $22 per hour
