Summary: The Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Colorado dental standards.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Clinical Duties:
- Assist the doctor chairside during pediatric orthodontic procedures
- Take and process digital x-rays in compliance with Colorado X-Ray standards
- Instruct pediatric patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize and maintain instruments per infection control protocols
Administrative & Operational Duties:
- Set up, break down, and prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic and hygiene appointments
- Document patient records and treatment notes accurately in practice management software
- Support smooth patient flow to maintain daily appointment schedules
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
Required Certificates or Licenses:
- Colorado X-Ray certification
- Current BLS certification
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
