Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Assists the doctor chairside during pediatric dental procedures, including behavior guidance and patient comfort techniques for pediatric patients
- Takes x-rays
- Captures intraoral (IO) images and digital X-rays in compliance with Arizona radiation standards
- Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
- Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Certification from a dental college (CDA or EFDA preferred) OR three to six months of related pediatric dental experience and/or training, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Certificates or Licenses:
- Arizona X-Ray certification
- Current BLS certification
- Arizona Coronal Polish certification
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
