At our practice, led by Dr. Hillary Knight, we go beyond traditional dentistry. While we excel in all aspects of general dentistry, we have a unique focus on airway health and addressing insufficient palatal and jaw development in both adults and children. As our RDA, you'll be at the forefront of our back office, playing a crucial role in enhancing our patient experience and comfort. You'll work closely with Dr. Knight, a fellow dental assistant, a dedicated registered dental hygienist, our practice manager, and a patient coordinator. What You'll Bring:
A valid Michigan Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license, or EFDA license. A passion for patient education and comprehensive health. Excellent clinical skills and a proactive approach to patient care. A collaborative spirit and desire to contribute to a positive team dynamic. While your responsibilities will include traditional RDA duties, we'll provide a detailed job description upon expressing your interest.
DUTIES:
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Proficiency in Dentrix software is a plus. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is essential. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and pediatric dentistry concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Certification in CPR or First Aid is desirable. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories, using Dentrix software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when necessary. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for children and assisting with their specific needs. Stay updated on dental terminology and medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. What We Offer:
