Schedule
Days: Monday, Tuesday
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and SRP as indicated
- Take and evaluate digital radiographs (FMX, BWX, PAs) using modern imaging systems
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and risk evaluation
- Utilize advanced technology such as laser-assisted hygiene (if certified) and intraoral scanners (as applicable)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and treatment recommendations to improve case acceptance
- Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes in the practice management system (Dentrix or similar)
- Follow infection control protocols and uphold the highest standard of patient safety and care
- Assist in identifying treatment opportunities and supporting overall practice production goals
- Manage appointment time efficiently while delivering a high level of patient experience
Requirements
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in California required
- Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Local Anesthesia certification required
- Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification preferred
- Laser certification preferred (or willingness to become certified)
- Strong proficiency with digital radiographs and electronic charting systems (Dentrix or similar)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients and build trust
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with a high standard of clinical care and patient experience
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
