Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our small, privately-owned dental practice on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player capable of managing various tasks efficiently, whether the office is busy or slow. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on patient care and office organization.
Work Schedule
- Tuesdays: 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Thursdays: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Fridays: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (usually)
- Additional half to six-hour day for organizing and administrative tasks, with some flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures such as scanning, teeth whitening, and making crowns.
- Help pack cases for the lab and check when lab cases arrive.
- Maintain and update office manuals and paperwork.
- Organize and order supplies as needed.
- Communicate with patients through phone calls and texts for recare appointments.
- Ensure the office is clean and organized.
- Collaborate effectively with the dentist and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
- Proficiency in scanning, teeth whitening, and crown-making preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

Our practice features two dental chairs, with hygiene primarily handled by the dentist except on Thursdays.
