Fabletics
Fabletics Inc. is looking for a Manager, FP&A to own operating expense planning, variance analysis, and headcount modeling across the organization. This role is the central point of contact for department budget owners, responsible for driving financial discipline on Opex through bottoms-up budgeting, monthly forecasting, and executive-ready variance reporting for our Monthly Business Review (MBR).
This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to Fabletics leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills with the ability to partner effectively with non-finance leaders, translate spending trends into actionable insights, and drive accountability across budgets.
What You Will Do
Opex Planning & Budgeting
Lead the annual bottoms-up Opex budgeting process end-to-end, partnering with 15+ department budget owners to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and consolidate into the company-wide operating plan.
Own monthly and quarterly Opex re-forecasting, incorporating actuals, business changes, and leadership guidance to maintain an accurate and current financial outlook.
Build and maintain detailed Opex models by department and cost category, ensuring alignment between budget owner expectations and corporate financial targets.
Support the development of the long-range plan by modeling Opex scenarios across multiple time horizons.
Variance Analysis & Executive Reporting
Prepare monthly Opex variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. forecast) at both summary and department levels, identifying key drivers and risks for senior leadership.
Develop and deliver Opex reporting content for the Monthly Business Review (MBR) and Quarterly Board presentations including executive-ready slides and supporting detail in Excel and PowerPoint.
Proactively communicate spending trends, anomalies, and risks to budget owners and FP&A leadership, ensuring no surprises at month-end.
Partner with Accounting to ensure clean actuals, proper cost allocations, and alignment between GL and planning hierarchies.
Headcount & Vacancy Management
Own and maintain the Headcount Vacancy Model, tracking open positions, backfills, new hires, and timing assumptions to accurately forecast payroll and benefits expense.
Partner with HR/People team and hiring managers to maintain visibility into recruiting pipelines and translate hiring plans into financial impact.
Provide regular headcount reporting to leadership, including variance to plan and projected run-rate impacts.
Business Partnership & Special Projects
Serve as the primary FP&A partner to department budget owners for all Opex-related questions, fostering strong relationships and financial accountability.
Improve and automate existing Opex reporting and forecasting workflows; identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
Support ad hoc strategic analyses as needed, including business case development, cost optimization initiatives, and scenario modeling.
Partner with the broader FP&A team on cross-functional projects and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
