We're looking for a highly motivated, curious, and charismatic Business Development Representative to help expand our customer base and generate new business opportunities.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers. You will represent Tracera as the first point of contact for potential clients and play a critical role in building our sales pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and relationship building.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, is passionate about sustainability, and enjoys connecting with senior business leaders.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect target accounts through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, and industry events.
  • Generate qualified meetings for the Account Executive team.
  • Research prospective customers and understand their sustainability, supply chain, ESG, and manufacturing initiatives.
  • Develop personalized outreach campaigns tailored to executive stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers, including Sustainability Leaders, Operations Executives, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams.
  • Continuously improve outreach messaging and prospecting strategies.
  • Stay informed on sustainability regulations, carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and manufacturing trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Business Development, Sales Development, or related B2B SaaS experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability, ESG, climate technology, manufacturing, or supply chain.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with C-level and senior executives.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and communicate business value effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, CSRD, CBAM, SBTi, LCA, Scope 1, 2 & 3).
  • Experience selling into manufacturing or industrial organizations.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company.
