What makes this role exciting
CloudPay is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Payroll Specialist to join our global payroll operations team. This role is key in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in line with US federal, state, and local regulations. You'll work collaboratively with internal teams and clients, applying your in-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll legislation, taxes, and compliance standards to deliver high-quality service and maintain data integrity.

Main responsibilities
Analyze payroll-related data to ensure correct payroll calculations and distribution of funds
Prepare reports, tax filings, and payroll documentation in line with federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with Implementation Consultants to ensure a smooth handover from project delivery to operational support
Validate new software features during releases to ensure proper system functionality
Conduct parallel runs and testing of payroll configurations as needed
Reconcile pre-processing reports and verify the accuracy of payroll inputs
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll data or documentation
Maintain up-to-date payroll records and audit trails for internal and statutory purposes
Support payroll configuration by validating client-supplied data and ensuring system readiness
Experience needed for this role
Solid experience in end-to-end US payroll processing, including federal, state, and local regulations
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws, reciprocity agreements, taxes, garnishments, and deductions
Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English (Spanish language skills are a strong advantage)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially when addressing payroll discrepancies
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities, especially during payroll cycles and year-end periods
A collaborative mindset and ability to work well in cross-functional global teams
Familiarity with accounting or bookkeeping practices is a plus
Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field is an advantage
