CloudPays engineering teams build very sophisticated software using open-source technologies with the majority being in Java. We operate out of AWS. Our systems engineers play a crucial role in the design, building and maintenance of all our software and services.
CloudPay builds, deploys and operates half a dozen customer-facing services and many more backend services across 1000+ Linux hosts and AWS-managed services. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Linux Systems is strong with scripting in various languages, working with AWS and is a strong study of new technology.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly-skilled, high-functioning team, forming an essential part of a rapidly expanding global business within the technology and financial services space.Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include: • Provision and maintain secure cloud infrastructure • Partner with scrum teams to deliver software releases • Build and manage secure automated systems • Maintain complete and comprehensive documentation • Manage logging, monitoring and alerting systems • Support incidents as they occur and work with teams on preventing future incidents • Work closely with engineers across all teams in different parts of the worldAttributes and Experience Required: • 3+ years in a similar role • Good documentation and communications skills • Relevant degree or equivalent experience • Experience working with agile teams • Keen sense of ownership and drive, delivering on what you and your team have agreed on • A good understanding of the following concepts and standard practices: • GitOps and ITIL • IT security; GDPR, encryption at-rest/in-transit, patching, least-privilege • Networking; VPNs, Transit Gateways, routing, DNS, firewalls • Experience working with complex and, sometimes, tightly coupled systems • Strong experience with the following technology: • Terraform and AWS • Debian • BASH • Rundeck • Containerisation and microservice architecture Desirable Experience: • JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket • Bamboo, Jenkins • Foreman • Apache, Nginx, Tomcat
